stellar minimalist lamp design by the new york + new zealand based studio. m.

Richard Clarkson Studio creates what they like to call “harmonious contradictions”, the idea that contrasting elements can come together under the right conditions to result in some spectacular outcomes. The first of these projects is the Rain Lamp, which brings water and electricity together to form a unique piece of lighting.

A large, clear globe is outfitted with a Micro-Peristaltic pump and an LED light bulb, with a pool of lighting chlorinated water at the bottom. The hidden pump circulates the water from the bottom to release drops around the bulb.
